Client Services

Customers visiting the One Stop are asked to sign in and are encouraged to fill out the necessary paperwork so that their needs can be assessed by a Career Coach.

Customers are persuaded to take advantage of the Core Services that are provided for them. The types of services are as follows:

  • Internet job search assistance
  • Job fairs
  • WorkKeys Curriculum 
  • Work Keys Assessment
  • Resumes
  • Outreach, intake and orientation
  • Referral to an appropriate agency
  • Fax, copier or phone use
  • Online applications

After a Career Coach has assessed a customer’s paperwork and the results from core services used, then the Coach may determined that more intensive services may be required.

Intensive services are granted to Adults and Dislocated Workers who are unemployed or underemployed or who have attempted at least one core service and is still unable to obtain employment that leads to self-sufficiency. Intensive Service are listed as:

  • Intensive Testing
  • Case Management
  • On-The-Job Training
  • Follow-up Services
  • Developing a Customer Service Plan
  • Job Development
  • Assessment
  • Retention Services
  • Occupational Skills Training -Intensive Counseling

Our Career Coaches are trained to assist customers in their job search activities, career and training options, advisement, and in resume writing. Staff is also available to provide more direct services tailored to the needs of the individual, such as specific life skills and self management training. Career Coaches are also trained to assist individuals with federally defined barriers to employment to include ex-offenders/returning citizens. 

When applying for Occupational Skills Training through WIOA the occupation must be in demand.
